IWS and Carbon Capture and Storage

Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is a rapidly growing market, and is expected to represent a global market for TestAll.

The sealing capacity of a reservoir suitable for CO2 storage is important and has to be measured before and during CO2 injection.

TestAll's Intelligent Welltesting and Monitoring system (IWS) may enable valuable documentation of the caprock and bedrock formations in a CO2 injection reservoir, and also perform an injection test.

This may be a possible new technology that contributes to the green shift through CCS.

By releasing chemical tracer material into the reservoir during injection of CO2, chemical tracer measurement sensors can be placed above the sealing formation and monitor for any evidence of the caprock not being tight.

The system can be used to verify the sealing capacity, but also monitoring the sealing capacity over time, by for example use of a light intervention vessel, or even easier for onshore CCS wells.
